Vial Coring Prevention

Vial coring refers to the inadvertent introduction of tiny rubber particles from the vial's stopper into the medication, which can potentially pose health risks if injected into the body.

Coring can occur during the process of puncturing the vial's rubber stopper with a needle. It is essential to minimize coring to ensure the purity and safety of your testosterone medication.

Follow the steps outlined below to help prevent vial coring from occurring.

First, aim for the middle part of the rubber stopper with the needle.

Next, hold the barrel of the syringe at a 45-degree angle with the bevel of the needle positioned upward in the center of the rubber stopper (the bevel is the opening of the needle’s tip).

Finally, apply pressure to the needle tip and as the needle begins to penetrate the stopper push down while simultaneously rotating the needle to a 90-degree angle in one smooth motion.
